To get Tipadipa back on the rails of development, members of the community have elected Méva Gougou Joachim to head the community base mutual aid cooperative. Having already proven his unifying abilities, given his many achievements, Méva Gougou's plebiscite was no accident.

Last weekend's inauguration ceremony on the public esplanade was a demonstration that a single grove cannot build a house. Henceforth, the new president urged all his brothers and sisters to converge thoughts and feelings. "We must blame ourselves for delaying the development of our village.

To remedy this situation, I invite you all, dear brothers and sisters, to silence our internal quarrels and divisions. We must refrain from indulging in altercations, Byzantine disagreements which, in reality, will take us nowhere. Tipadipa needs to take off. Our hometown must rise from its ashes. We must therefore, put aside our grudges and resentments to unite in peace. Let's bind our elbows and sing in unison to allow Tipadipa to regain its former glory," said President Méva.

The sons and daughters of Tipadipa then resolved to tread for their common property. The 48 hours ceremony took place in the presence of the prefectural authority. Méva Gougou Joachim was invested president of the "MUDET" by the "chef de terre" Oyourou Guillaume and other village dignitaries .Participants pointed out that this inauguration ceremony was one of a kind in living memory.
