Abidjan - Yves De Mbella, a controversial Cameroonian Radio and TV presenter, more renowned for his antics than his intellect, reached the end of his slimy R-Rated broadcasts on August 30, 2021, when he brought a former convicted armed rapist to his NCI TV show.
The deranged celebrity presenter went as far as asking the convicted criminal if any of his women victims had ever had an orgasm during the act: to which the sex maniac answered yes.

Stunned viewers experienced the height of misogyny and depraved sexism during a disgusting segment where De M’Bella laughingly encouraged his TV guest to use a life-size doll to demonstrate how he attacked his victims.

The programme, broadcast at prime time on Monday by the private Nouvelle Chaine Ivorienne (NCI) channel, caused a nationwide outcry, including a petition signed by 30,000 people demanding that the presenter be punished. Mr De M'bella, the wannabe shock jock was kicked off the airwaves for promoting rape. It is not clear if he will ever be allowed back after his fat contract with the Miss Côte d'Ivoire organisation was cancelled. Earlier Tuesday, protesters surrounded the channel’s office in the commercial capital, Abidjan, holding signs that read: “Don’t trivialize rape.”

Telecom authorities suspended Mr De M’Bella from the airwaves for 30 days, whilst a court fined and ordered him not to leave Abidjan for a year under a suspended prison sentence.
