Côte d'Ivoire / The government adopts a project against the trafficking and illicit use of narcotics

The government vows to combat the trafficking and illicit use of narcotics, psychotropic substances and their precursors.
This announcement was issued by government spokesperson Amadou Coulibaly, at the end of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, July 07, 2021, in Abidjan Plateau.
According to Mr Coulibaly, Minister of Communication, Media and Francophonie, this project responds to the evolution of production techniques, trafficking and illicit use of narcotics and their derived products, which implies an improvement of constant measures and means of struggle and repression.
He also specified that this project goes beyond the dimension of repression, following the new orientations of international strategies of cooperation the therapeutic dimensions and the prevention aspect.
