President Ramaphosa's visit is part of the framework for strengthening bilateral relations between South Africa and Côte d'Ivoire.
The visit schedule includes a tête-à-tête between the two presidents at the state palace on Thursday, followed by a high-level meeting extended to members of both countries delegations, the laying of a foundation stone for the new headquarters of South African telephone company MTN, preceded by a visit to the Abidjan Port Authority.
President Cyril Ramaphosa is due to be made an honorary citizen of the district of Abidjan on Friday, December 3rd.
At the end of the visit, the two heads of state will hold a press conference.
Trades between the two nations reached 370.908 billion CFA francs in 2020, against 291.03 billion in 2019. An increase of 79.878 billion CFA francs.
