Abidjan, 07 Jul 2021 - The President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina, reiterated yesterday in Abidjan, the support of the banking institution for the implementation of the National Development Plan (PND 2021-2025) from Côte d'Ivoire, following an audience granted to him by Prime Minister Patrick Achi.

"I would like to assure the government, on behalf of the African Development Bank, of our unwavering support for the implementation of the National Development Plan 2021-2025," said Adesina.

AfDB support will also focus on transforming the agricultural value chain for products such as plantain, mango, cashew, coffee, cocoa, palm oil, etc. These will be investments in infrastructure, to transform rural areas into areas of wealth creation.

The 2021-2025 PND is based on six pillars, the implementation of which will require an investment of 59,000 billion CFA Francs.
