Agro-tourism will be at the centre of the cultural and socio-economic week in the town of Kroubi from June 21 to 24 this year in Bondoukou, according to General commissioner Ouattara Issoufou at a press conference on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, in the presence of administrative authorities and many stakeholders.
Mr Ouattara stressed the enormous tourism potential in the Zanzan district, including the Gontougo and Bounkani regions with the ComoƩ National Park, rich in fauna and flora, as a focal point.
Furthermore, the commissioner reiterated the importance of daily consumption of organic products grown in the region, such as cashew nuts, yams or corn.

"We need to secure our products and show the world that they are safe for consumption," he said.

The fifth edition of Kroubi week themed "Agro-tourism and agroecology" is a platform to facilitate exchanges between consumers and farmers to promote local crops and their by-products.

Special guests will range from neighbouring countries, such as Burkina Faso, and as far as Japan and Belgium, hosting around sixty stands and hundreds of visitors.
