Armed highway bandits fire on a bus on the freeway Dimbokro-Abidjan.
Sept. 5 at about 4:30 a.m.
4 seriously injured, no fatalities.
Early in the morning of Saturday, September 5, 2020, no less than 10 highway bandits armed with Ak47 rifles fired on a public transport bus on the freeway Dimbokro - Abidjan.
According to passengers, at 4 o'clock in the morning, shortly after the Dimbokro corridor, they noticed two vehicles obstructing the road, which caused the bus driver to slow down.
Then, several hooded individuals equipped with torches and guns jumped out of the bushes and began shooting at the bus.
The driver instructed passengers to lie down to avoid bullets. Unfortunately, two of them, a man and a woman, were hit in the legs.
Traumatized, passengers found themselves at the mercy of the robbers who stripped them down to their underpants.
Like true professionals, they were not interested in mobile phones, for fear of later being traced by investigators. "Our driver was knocked out cold with a rifle butt before they disappeared into the dawn. Only one of them spoke with an Ivorian accent". Said, one distraught passenger.
